FREE virtual SEN conference

This Summer, Witherslack Group are offering an online special educational needs (SEN) conference. The event aims to share practical advice and strategies to support neurodivergent children and young people with their behaviour and mental health challenges.

The conference

When: Wednesday 25 June 2025

Time: 10am to 3pm

Where: The event is online and will take place via Zoom

The conference will include experts from Witherslack’s Clinical Services Team, Specialist Behaviour Team, and The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity. Insights and supportive ideas will be shared for navigating ADHD, burnout, self-harm, the link between autism and anxiety, plus more.

This virtual conference will consist of four back-to-back presentations on Zoom. Each presentation will be around 45 minutes long, with 15 minutes for questions and answers with the speakers. Delegates are welcome to join and leave the conference at any time using their unique link. Witherslack are an education provider for children and young people with SEN.

  • 11:15am-12:15pm: Exploring Self-Harm In Young People With SEN
    Presented by Witherslack Clinical Regional Directors, Carole Anne Hudson and Bridgitte Calder

  • 12:45pm-1:45pm: Understanding & Managing Challenging Behaviours In Neurodivergent Children
    Presented by Witherslack Specialist Behaviour & Inclusion Team's Associate Director, Elaine Moyers

  • 2pm-3pm: The Link Between Autism & Anxiety In Our Children
    Presented by Witherslack Educational Psychologist, Dr Avegayle Terrado-Reardon, and Clinical Psychologist, Dr Nicky Bowles.
