SENDLO Live Summer Stressbusters
Do you have a child or young person with special educational needs or/and disability (SEND) in primary or secondary school? If so, we’ve got two great events coming up that could be just what you need!
Our upcoming SENDLO Live events each have a focus on the changes that a new academic year brings for children and young people with SEND. Such as a new teacher, new routine or timetable and even a new setting!
Starting a new academic year can be a tricky time for anyone, but for children and young people with SEND there can often be more challenges to overcome. The changes on the horizon can lead to increased anxiety over the summer holidays. These marketplace-style events give you the chance to meet services and community organisations that offer SEND support face to face.
These events are completely free and you don’t need to book. Just turn up on the day. They are open to all parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in Wirral. You are welcome to bring along your children and young people. There will be practitioners from health, education and care ready to share advice and resources that can help you support your children and young people as they navigate change and uncertainty. You will also be able to talk to representatives from the following teams in Wirral Council:
Educational Psychologists
Inclusion
Mental Health Support
School Readiness
