Make Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) more timely, high-quality, and effective. Ensure annual reviews are completed on time and lead to meaningful updates.

Help young people with SEND transition into adulthood. Ensure support across education, health, and care is coordinated.

Create a new Young Adult Service
Host regular events to provide access to support and services in one place
Improve careers advice and local job opportunities
Develop a “transition passport” for young people

Reduce Waiting Times for Speech, Language & Neurodevelopmental Support. Improve communication and support for families while they wait.

What we are going to do:

Increase staffing and resources
Train professionals and parents/carers on new tools, such as the neurodiversity profiling tool
Improve online information and family communication
Set up a multi-disciplinary team for faster assessments

The partnership will track progress on the Priority Plan using data collected from services. It will provide monthly updates to the Local Area SEND Partnership Board.
