The much-loved Wirral MakeFest is back for its third year! The event is an annual celebration of creativity, innovation, and community!

What is Wirral MakeFest:

Wirral MakeFest is a free festival that takes place every year. It celebrates the creativity, ingenuity, and passion of local makers. The festival aims to inspire and connect through hands-on learning and sustainable making. There will be workshops and demonstrations in a welcoming space. People of all ages and abilities will be able to explore, discover, and create.

Where is it and when?

It will take place on on Saturday May 10th from 10am to 4pm at Birkenhead Central Library. Wirral MakeFest 2025 will transform the library into a vibrant hub of imagination. The festival will include:

  • Hands-on workshops with coding, 3D printing, and eco-friendly innovation. Returning favourites include Eureka! Explore a showcase of creativity, technology, and DIY culture.

  • Eye-opening demos from local and UK-based makers, including virtual electronics and model making. Creative Activities: Try your hand at Lego building, crafting, upcycling, and experimental projects. Pop-Up Café: Enjoy delicious treats at our inclusive café in the library foyer.

  • Engaging exhibits spanning science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

Come and meet fellow makers, innovators, and dreamers from the Wirral and beyond. This year’s event continues to champion sustainability as a central theme. If offers something for everyone.
