Wirral school offers exam support for neurodiverse students

A new initiative at Wirral Grammar School for Girls helps neurodiverse students prepare for their upcoming GCSE exams.

Wirral Grammar School for Girls hosted recently hosted a workshop for parents and carers of neurodiverse students. The school’s SENCO, Mr Beswick, organised the Neurodiversity and Exam Preparation workshop. The event was well attended. Giving parents and carers the knowledge they need to help their children thrive. Particularly during their GCSE exams this summer.

Dr Fiona Conway, Educational Psychologist (EP) at Wirral Council delivered the training. Along with Assistant EPs, Emma Little and James King. They shared practical tips and strategies. Helping parents support children with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences. The event also provided exam and revision techniques. Helping students to stay focussed and achieve their best results.

Feedback from the workshop was positive with one parent commenting, “It was really informative. Brilliant timing on the lead-up to GCSE exams.”
