We are delighted to invite parents and carers of Wirral Grammar School for Girls to a Parent Workshop on Neurodiversity and Sleep, taking place on 13th January 2026, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Wirral Grammar School for Girls.
This event is designed to offer valuable guidance on supporting neurodiverse children with their sleep.
Whether your child is currently on a pathway, has a diagnosis, or you would simply like to learn more, this workshop is open to all.
The aim of the session is to empower parents and carers with knowledge, practical advice, and strategies to support children who may experience neurodiverse conditions, including ADHD, Autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences.
The session will be delivered by Dr Jill McGarry, a Clinical Psychologist with 28 years of NHS experience, specialising in psychological support and sleep health.
She holds advanced training in Sleep Medicine from Oxford University and Sleep Unlimited.
After leaving the NHS most recently working with the Manchester Sleep Service Dr McGarry established a successful private sleep clinic, where she continues to support children, young people, and adults with a wide range of sleep difficulties.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr McGarry delivers sleep-focused talks and workshops across schools, health groups, corporate teams, and organisations working night shifts or non-traditional hours.
Her recent partnerships include NHS England, UCLH Trust, Youth Glow, CIMA, Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, BAE, and Goldman Sachs.
She also provides clinical supervision to fellow practitioners. This summer, Dr McGarry presented at the Autism & ADHD events at ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, and Manchester Central, where she also leads their annual sleep clinic.
Intended Audience: Wirral Grammar School for Girls parents/carers and students only.
