We are pleased to be able to offer FREE training for parents and carers around online risks of radicalisation, which is aimed specifically for parents/cares of children with SEND.
Delivered by Deflect and Protect this session looks at the risks of online content and radicalisation particularly with regards to the risks presented to young people with SEND or Autism.
Delivered as a 1-hour session on Teams, this event is applicable to parents and carers including foster carers and connected carers.
In this session we look at the way young people use the internet and the potential harms it can cause. This includes grooming and radicalisation. We also look at many factors that lead young autistic people to look at online communities. We will cover how parents and carers can create positiive environments that support young people to disclose online harms.
