Who is this for: Parents and carers

Booking: Essential Wellbeing sessions 2026 12 places only

The Positivitree wellbeing sessions are specially designed for parent carers of children with additional health or care needs. Your child does not need a diagnosis to take part—everyone is welcome, whether you're just starting your journey or have been caring for years.

Each session offers something valuable on its own, so you can attend as many as you like, based on your availability. While the sessions complement each other, they also stand alone—giving you the flexibility to benefit in a way that works for you.

Boundaries & Assertiveness

Boundaries set limits that show how we expect others to treat us. They are key for healthy relationships and our well-being. Types of boundaries include physical, emotional, and mental. Barriers to setting boundaries may include fear of conflict or people-pleasing. Assertiveness means sharing your needs and wants confidently and respectfully. Assertive personalities fall on a spectrum from passive to aggressive. Assertiveness is the balanced approach in this range. Being assertive fosters self-respect and respect from others, reducing stress and improving communication. Focusing on personal boundaries and assertiveness enhances self-confidence and overall well-being.

If anything changes after booking, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible, so we can offer your place to another parent-carer.

Sessions are facilitated by members of The Positivitree team, all of whom bring lived experience alongside professional wellbeing skills, creating a warm, understanding and non-judgemental space.
