SEND Events Across Wirral this Easter
SEND Families across Wirral can look forward to a wide mix of activities over the school holiday period. Many events are designed specifically for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), as well as their parents and carers, and siblings. Below is a short round‑up of some of the sessions taking place from 28 March. You can find full details and more listings on the SENDLO “What’s On” page.
Active All Sports
Once again our Active Leisure team have created fun, fitness based activities for the whole family. Whether it’s family swim sessions, tennis, or the always popular family bowling at Bromborough Bowl. There is plenty to enjoy and all at low prices.
Autism Together
You can visit Bromborough, Seacombe or Brassey Gardens Family Hubs for a Rainbows Group for children under 5 with social and communication difficulties and their parent carers. Visit Bromborough Pool Cafe or Bridge Community Farm with all the family. There will be crafts, biscuit decorating, pizza making and outdoor fun all at low affordable prices.
Stay and Plays
Once again Koala Northwest and The Positivitree are hosting their safe and supportive sessions in Family Hubs and other venues. Come together with other SEND families for some peer support, and advice from the staff and volunteers.
This is only a snapshot of what is available. Many sessions run weekly, including online learning groups and support groups for carers. To explore all events running over the two week holiday, visit SENDLO “What’s On” page.
