Update on Wirral’s SENDIASS and Mediation Services

We want to let you know that the current arrangements for Wirral’s SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) and the Mediation Service will end in February 2027.

Over the next year, we will look closely at how these services work. This will help us design a model that continues to give children, young people and families the best support possible.

This is a positive chance to improve and modernise what we offer. Our aims are to make sure the service:

• stays independent

• is easy for everyone to use

• keeps a high standard of support

• meets the needs of families now and in the future

No changes right now

There will be no change to the current services at this time. Families can continue to use SENDIASS and the Mediation Service in the usual way.

We want to hear from you

In the coming months, we will ask parents, carers, young people and schools to share their views. Your feedback and experiences are important. They will help shape how the future service looks and how it works. We are committed to making sure your voice is heard throughout this process.
